Miranda Tomenson is the owner/founder of Tomenson Performance & Wellness. Miranda has been coaching athletes for 18 years. She has worked with athletes of all ages and abilities, from novice young swimmers to adult runners, swimmers and triathletes. She currently enjoys working with adult athletes who want to achieve their own best performances in endurance sports, while not sacrificing their work, family and personal life to do so. Miranda's athletes consistently make personal best times, and a few have qualified for the Ironman 70.3 and ITU Age Group World Championships. Miranda was given an honourable mention for coach of the year from Triathlon Ontario in 2016.

Miranda grew up in Toronto. She attended Havergal College, then went on to obtain her Honours BSc in Interdepartmental Honours Immunology from McGill University in 2007, her MSc in Medical Biophysics in 2009 and her Diploma of Massage Therapy in 2016. In addition, she has taken many courses in exercise physiology, training for sport performance, human biomechanics, sport psychology and nutrition. She holds her NCCP Swim Skills Certification and is a trained Community Triathlon Coach.
Miranda has experience competing as a professional triathlete focused on the Ironman 70.3 and Ironman distance events. She has raced a lot of the North American long course triathlons, with a personal best of 4:22.37 (Ironman 70.3 Florida) and 9:16:12 (Ironman Cozumel). She has competed in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships where she placed 23nd female pro (2013) and 2nd in her age group (2011). Miranda was named 2021 Female Athlete of the Year (non-professional) by Triathlon Magazine Canada.

She will communicate with you thoroughly about your goals and lifestyle in order to determine the best training schedule for you. All her programs are designed based on your fitness level, training availability, and goals. Her training plans are unique to the individual and include a combination of sport specific training (including mobility and strength). She believes that a proper amount of hard work and recovery lead to success. Her workouts are very detailed and include the goal for the session as well as what it should feel like. She loves coaching individuals who are goal oriented, disciplined, patient and want to work smart.

This is a comprehensive coaching program for individuals looking for personal coaching in order to reach their best performance. Includes an in-take interview, a training plan delivered weekly or bi-weekly, communication and feedback 1-2x per week via TrainingPeaks, email, text (M-Sa, 7am-7pm) and/or short phone calls if needed, 2-3 x 30-45min calls per season. Goal setting, race strategy and general nutrition guidance is also provided. This is perfect for someone who wants regular guidance and feedback on their training and racing.
Monthly fee: $260+HST ($100+HST start up fee) Add ons: + unlimited communication, more immediate feedback (+ $60) + monthly 30min phone call to discuss training, progression, goals and races (+ $40) + TrainingPeaks premium (+ $10) * single sport (- $60) |
This is an individualized training plan for someone looking to prepare for a specific goal and to promote consistency in their training. Includes an in-take interview and a training plan delivered monthly. There is no feedback given for completed workouts and you have to make the adjustments yourself if conflict arises. Limited coaching with 4 program check ins per month is available as an add on to this package which makes this ideal for the athlete on a budget. This is perfect for someone who wants a plan but doesn’t need regular contact and communication for training and race support.
